 Recommended Vaccinations 


Dog Vaccinations

DHPP Combo (Distemper, Hepatitis/Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza): for the vaccination of healthy dogs as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by these viruses. The initial dose may be given at 6 weeks of age or older. Repeat at 3-4 week intervals until the dog is 16 weeks of age. Revaccination is recommended one year later, then every three years subsequently for the life of the dog.

Rabies: for the vaccination of healthy dogs and cats as an aid in preventing Rabies. Dogs and cats must be at least 12 weeks of age for initial vaccination. Pets with no vaccine history or those receiving the vaccine for the first time will receive a 1 year vaccination. Subsequent revaccination should be every 3 years thereafter. Rabies vaccination is required by law.

Leptospirosis: for use as an aid in the prevention of serious, multi-organ disease, spread in the urine of infected wildlife. Recommended for dogs who spend any time outdoors, in contact with standing water, or in areas frequented by wildlife. Dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age for initial vaccination. A minimum of two doses is required for primary immunization, with the second dose administered 2-3 weeks later. Annual revaccination recommended.

Bordetella (Kennel Cough): for use as an aid in the prevention of respiratory disease, spread by social contact with infected dogs. Recommended for dogs attending socialization or obedience classes, agility trials or dog shows, day care or boarding, grooming, or dog parks. The initial dose may be given at 6 weeks of age with annual revaccination recommended.

Cat Vaccinations

FVRCP Combo (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia): administered intranasally for the vaccination of healthy cats or kittens as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by these viruses. Initial vaccination begins at 8 weeks of age or older. Repeat at 3-4 week intervals until the cat is 16 weeks of age. Revaccination is recommended in one year, then every 1-3 years thereafter depending on the health and lifestyle of the cat.

Rabies: a reduced ingredient formula for the vaccination of healthy cats as an aid in preventing Rabies. Cats must be at least 12 weeks of age for initial vaccination. Annual revaccination is needed. Rabies vaccination is required by law.

FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus): a reduced ingredient formula for the vaccination of healthy cats or kittens as an aid in the prevention of lymphoid tumors caused by, and diseases associated with, feline leukemia virus infection. Two doses are required for primary immunization, 3-4 weeks following the initial vaccination. Revaccination is recommended annually for cats who spend any time outside or in contact with stray or unknown cats.
